The Brazilian Society of Ophthalmology is an organization that brings together a large number of ophthalmologists - about five thousand - in Brazil and even abroad. Founded in September 6th, 1922, is a nonprofit society of scientific nature. Its objectives include: Promoting research and the study of Ophthalmology and Promote events, such as the Brazilian Congress of Ophthalmology, the most expressive conference in the field in Latin America.
